Living Desert Sculptures-Broken Hill
Hello, my name is Cindy and Tai Chi has been part of my life for around 40 years and Qigong for 12 years.
Based on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, I am passionate about spreading the benefits of both.
My studies include Tai Chi 24 form, 48 form, Shibashi Level 1 & 2, Ba Daun Jin..
I am a certified instructor with the TaiChi, Qigong and Feng Shui Institute.
I have always been mesmerised by the grace and beauty of the movements but more the sense of innercalm that the practitioner exudes.
Qigong is an ancient Chinese healing practice known as a wonderful form of moving meditation to connect the three treasures,
mind, body and spirit. Translated qigong means energy(qi) work(gong).
The breathing is the beginning, calming the nervous system, quietening the mind. Allowing the body to relax, the gentle movements release stress stored in the muscles. Grounding the feet like roots of a tree, balance, posture and co-ordination are all enhanced. Although gentle and slow moving all the muscles of the body are worked and strengthened. There are also benefits for improved energy levels, relief from stress and anxiety, clarity of thought.
An overall sense of calmness and mental clarity are the best benefits I have obtained through my practice.
